Fancy a fruit flavoured beer?
By | Posted: June 26, 2009
If you’re out drinking this weekend, why not cast your net wider and try a pint of something slightly different for summer, like a fruit flavoured beer?
Historically, fruit was commonly used as a flavouring in beer and ales.
It’s something that Belgium brewers have used for many years, and fruit-beer brands like Fruili are increasingly available in the UK.
Have you ever tried any fruit beers? If you’re a fan, what are your favourite flavours? If you’re not a beer drinker, do you think that a cherry, strawberry or even chocolate taste would make you more likely to drink it? Or does the thought of adding any kind of taste leave you cold? We’d love to know what everyone thinks!

In my opinion Fruit beers are the way to go for the females who don’t drink beer mainly for taste reasons, as it adds such a different taste to the beer and makes it less bitter. I love Timmermans Friut beer, it is hard to come by in local pubs but when it’s there i’ll drink it, i’d recommend the raspberry flavour.
